The CHAI Cybersecurity Workgroup is a cross-sector effort convened to develop practical, peer-developed guidance for health systems, payers, and health technology companies preparing for advanced frontier AI-enabled cybersecurity risks.
Frontier-grade models are changing the landscape by compressing attack timelines from days to minutes, industrializing PHI exfiltration and ransomware operations, and creating new defensive opportunities for security teams. The Workgroup’s mission is to help the health sector understand these emerging risks and adopt concrete defensive and operational practices that improve readiness without adding unnecessary burden.
